Coyote vs ACME is a movie about doing the right thing, connection, and trying and failing and trying and failing again. Connecting to others is important, trying is important, doing the right thing is important, even if others try to push you down, cause even if you fail you're helping pave the way for someone else to get farther than you, which is another form of connection and shows the importance you have to the world around you. This is the message of Coyote vs ACME.
It's not just a movie about cartoons sueing a big corpo. It's a movie about banding together and learning your importance to others, and figuring out how to do the right thing for those around you, those who came before, and those who will come after.

It's funny, well written, and very pointed with its messaging. You can definately see James Gunn's influence all over this movie. This isn't just some kids movie. Characters grow and change, some things stay the same. It doesn't just tell you exactly what's going on, it shows you, Wile Coyote was a genius pick for a main character in this sense.

I do wish they went with a more traditional 2d animation style, like in "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit"(which I think looks better despite it's age). My viewing partner was greatly distracted by the animation, but it's not too agregious that the movie can't be enjoyed.

Even with all the setbacks production has had in the past, I think this movie came out at an important time in the modern film scene. We don't see many movies like this at the moment and I'm hoping after this we can see more. A movie that unabashedly focuses on how the everyday John Doe is affected by corporations and monopolies, how easily people are silenced or swept under the rug, how it's all intentional for the sake of a greater profit for the last people who need it. How you don't need to be a big shot in order to shoot big. How we should concur our fear of failure in order to actually try and do something truly meaningful.

Coyote vs ACME had to fight for existence after it's near cancelation, the team behind it saw what this movie could mean and they fought for it in hopes of making a difference.

I was inspired by Coyote vs ACME and I hope it inspires others. (8.5/10)
